Boat-Building Returns to Highland Lakes

A few years back, a small group of members got together, one night a week, to build a boat from scratch. Over that winter, starting with a few drawings and a pile of wood, friendships were made and a 14’ sailing skiff was launched in the spring.

The time has come to build again. George Mindos, a Club member since 1996, will build a 15’ rowing skiff, ideally suited to our lake, this winter / spring season. The skiff will be placed into service by the Boat & Dock Committee in the Club Boat Livery Program.
