WE DID IT!!!!! I would like to say thank you to everyone involved in making this a day to remember.
The Highland Lakes Board for approving the walk. Along with everyone who works in the office for all there help, the HL Fire department , HL Ambulance squad,
HL Security, HL Maintenance, Road dept, the VERNON school district for all your support. All the teachers that where there.
The Brownie troop, the Cub Scots, Teen Council, The Key Club, Vernon Football, Lacrosse, Track, Soccer, Cross country, just to name a few.
Shape Express, Mr. Loggie, DJ Mark, Discovery years, and I am sure there are many more.
A special thanks to Linda Smigen, WOW ... would of never pulled it off with out you!
My DEAR friends who generously helped with the set up ,clean up and all my other orders (LOL).
There where over 300 people and together we raised over $21,000.00! The sun was shining and everyone seemed to have a great time.
A BIG thank you to TEAM BRIELLE, it was a pleasure meeting all of you and a pleasure sharing this day. We hope to join forces with you next year and make it even better.

The walk will take place Sunday, May 4, 2008 at the Highland Lakes Clubhouse. Check in will begin at 10:30 AM and the 4-mile walk around the beautiful lake will start at 11:00 AM, rain or shine. It’s a day for friends and family of all ages to enjoy the fun & games! Along with the walk we will have food and activities for all. Please join us and show your support for the Gocklin family of Highland Lakes, who battle Cystic Fibrosis everyday. Road Closure Notice
Cystic Fibrosis Walk
Sunday, May 4th
The Voting Board is pleased to participate with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in its sponsorship of the Cystic Fibrosis Walk that will be taking place on Sunday, May 4th.It is necessary that temporary road closures occur for the safety of the walkers. The walk will take place around the Main Lake between the hours of 11:00AM and 1:30PM, starting at the Clubhouse and proceeding south. The following roads will be closed for brief periods, requiring the closure of portions of Lakeside Drive West, Lakeside Drive East, East Lakeside Drive.Members are asked to plan trips around these hours, or to wait until all of the walkers have passed. We thank you for your cooperation and are planning to keep your inconvenience to a minimum. Jack McLaughlin
