Come Meet the Candidates By Jack Patterson, Elections Chairman The Club’s Annual Meeting and Elections are coming up soon. This will be the first year that we will be operating with the new quorum requirements passed at our last meeting. It will also be the first time in several years that there will be more than one candidate running for the same officer positions. Having multiple candidates reflects the interest of many of our Club members who are not only willing but anxious to serve. I believe this to be a positive sign of a healthy community. Most of us know each of the candidates through their involvement over the years in a variety of Club activities and responsibilities. Very few, however, have ever had the chance to get to know the substantial talents and experience that each possess or to hear their thoughts on the current needs and future directions for our Club. The Elections Committee would like to invite all Club members to “Come Meet the Candidates”. The format will be simple; the time spent hearing from each of the candidates will be brief; and the opportunity for the members to get to know the candidates better will be invaluable to our Club’s future. Two dates have been set for meeting in the Clubhouse:
Please join us when it’s most convenient for you.
